Doggaebi Bangmangee(Goblin’s magic wand) has settled as representative Korean story for children since it included in Choseon Tale Collection during the Japanese invasion. However it is necessary to check on its narration structure through investigation into transmitted folk tales so that the actual context of conjugated form will be clarified. In present paper, only Doggaebi Bangmangee is examined, yet this work can be applied to every Korean story books overall which published naming as transmission tales. In conclusion, as far as I concerned, ‘old story’ is more Korean style term rather than ‘transmission tales’. In terms of, ‘transmission tale’ has several questions arise. For example, whether term has been actually used or not, children’s tale has been transmitted by only children and so on. All these questions are remaining uncertain. It was during Japanese invasion when the tales were produced which is suitable for the name of children’s story. In other words, scholars who studied abroad, such as Bang Jung-Hwan, issued children’s magazine and wrote fictive children’s story at that time. And also transmitted tales were made into easy version book so children could read easily. This circumstance has not changed. Through the examination of Doggaebi Bangmangee, it is easy to fine same condition in children’s story book which is clothed with transmission tale or old story. Especially existing folk tales were taken for the new creation and it caused narrative structure confusion. This could be a result of not discussing beforehand about where the transmission tale should belong clearly. It is much more complicated to regard a story about the past as transmission tale or old story. Because there is big difference between oral transmission folk tale and story puts into writing. Nowadays most of children’s book published without deep consideration on this aspect. From this point, we need to work, starting from terms regulation. From that point, careful concern on children’s book is required. Actually, Japanese style expressions and illustrations which flowed into Korea during the Japanese invasion, need to be investigated as well. This is opportunity to provide fundamental basis for Korean children. At the same time, it will be an opportunity that our children can understand more about national identity as Korean.
