Writing history of Chinese literature has been with us for a long time. Meanwhile, we have seen many changes in its writing. Here, we need to think about so-called \'opposite\' history of literature. \'Opposite\' does not mean negation of history of literature. It rather denotes reflection upon or dismantling of history of literature. Then, from what perspectives or notions do we need to write about history of literature? First of all, we need to have a clear understanding of literature at that time from a historical perspective. In terms of modernity, it also should be applicable and understandable from today\'s perspective. These principles should be applied when writing both text history of literature or chronological history of literature. In short, writers of history of literature need to respect history of the times having clear historical perspective of people lived at that time.
