Decision making in democracy is a process of reaching agreement in group situations through unanimity, voting, or interpretation. This study starts from the point of view that instruction of helping understand the various methods of decision making is more necessary than appling the instruction model for decision making in the level of elementary classroom teaching to enhance the pupils\' power of decision making.
This article treats the meaning, pattern, condition and the critical point of the three group decision making method. And shows the reorganized instruction model for teaching the ways of group decision making.
This lesson model shows the object of appling the model, duration, the objective, material, step, strategy of the lesson.
The expecting effect of this lesson model in the elementary classroom teaching is as follows.
(1)Pupils will learn to use three different ways of making-group decisions, namely, consensus, authority, and voting.
(2) Pupils will identify advantages and disadvantages of each way of deciding.
(3)Pupils will discover that the voting is merely one way of making group decisions. It is not the only way.
