In this study, a program for the practical use of folktale at the educational filed where multi-culturalist is existing was suggested.
A folktale can be used as a text for the neighbors had grown in the different cultural country and now would like to be newly adapted at Korea. An introduction and analyzing of a folktale based on the content understanding would be excellent material.
The cultural adaption of the immigrated women, married with Korean men, is deeply related with the future of Korea. The cultural education could be requested for them somehow rather than the language education. However there has been only discussion about reason and necessary of the cultural education without the concrete direction for them. Hence, a folktale can be newly focused as a good text through the exported analyzing and this work for applying to the educational filed has significant meaning. Other research has reported that the immigrated women are focusing on the conjugal life among the family life. In this study, (선녀와 나뭇꾼) and (우렁각시) were selected to show the cultural of Korean conjugal life and help the communication based on the cultural understanding for immigrated women. Expecially the cultural education for immigrated women should be compatible with their husband education to be effective. So each content of folktale was analyzed into for immigrated women and their husband.
An education with a selection of analyzed and concrete folktale will suggest new direction in educational filed for the immigrated women. It is true that there has not been many researches about the literatures connected to the culture and/or customs for the immigrated women. In this point, this study shows the potential possibility and effectiveness of a folktale in the educational filed.
