The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of cognitive-behavioral music therapy activities on anger control of alcoholics. The subjects of this study were 30 patients who were admitted to the closed ward in E mental hospital in downtown Seoul. Of the subjects, 15 were in the experimental group that received the music therapy activities and 15 were in the control group that received no treatment. The analysis of the statistical results has been carried out from the data of 23 patients. The data of 7 patients who were discharged from the hospital during the period of study has been excluded. Before the interventions, the researcher collected data by Kyum Koo Chon\'s Korean Adaptation of the State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory to the experimental and control group before and after the experiment. The period when the research has been conducted was from January, 4, to February, 15, 2008. The music therapy program was conducted for 60 minutes twice a week and it was 6 times in total. After providing interventions, the score of state anger and anger expression of the experimental group significantly decreased more than the control group. While the score of anger control within the experimental group didn\'t significantly decrease from pre to post test, the score of anger suppression and anger expression significantly decreased.
