이 연구에서는 음악치료사들을 대상으로 학력, 경력, 이론적 지향이 포함된 개인적 배경과 자기 효능감, 사적 자의식에 따른 역전이 관리능력을 알아보고 음악치료사가 역전이를 효율적으로 관리하는데 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 음악치료 임상 실습과 인턴십을 거쳐 석사 과정을 수료 혹은 졸업한 후, 음악치료 서비스를 제공하고 있는 음악치료사 105명을 연구 대상으로 하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 개인적인 배경에 있어서 학력과 경력에 따른 역전이 관리능력에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 하위 요인 중 클라이언트에 대한 객관적 이해 차이가 유의미하였다. 자기 효능감에 따른 역전이 관리능력에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 정적 상관관계를 나타내었으며 모든 하위 요인, 즉 클라이언트에 대한 객관적 이해, 자기통합, 자기통찰, 불안관리에서 정적 상관관계가 유의미하게 나타났다. 또한 사적 자의식에 따른 역전이 관리능력에서도 유의미한 정적 상관관계를 보였으며, 불안관리를 제외한 하위 요인에서 모두 정적 상관관계가 유의미하게 나타났다. 마지막으로 역전이 관리능력을 예측해 주는 변인으로는 음악치료사의 자기 효능감, 사적 자의식과 경력이 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 하위요인 별로 살펴보면, 클라이언트에 대한 객관적 이해에서는 경력, 자기 효능감, 사적 자의식이, 자기 통합과 자기 통찰에서는 자기 효능감과 사적 자의식이, 불안관리에서는 자기 효능감이 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the music therapists\' counter-transference management ability based on their personal background, self efficacy and private self-consciousness. A survey was conducted on 105 music therapists who have provided music therapy sessions after finishing their graduate study in music therapy with clinical practices and internships. The results of the study were as follows; 1) According to educational background and clinical careers, there were significant differences in counter-transference management ability and ‘objective understanding of client\' which was the one of factors in counter-transference management ability. 2) According to self efficacy, there were positive correlations in counter-transference management ability and all the factors; ‘objective understanding of client\', ‘self-integration\', ‘self-insight\', ‘anxiety-management\' in counter-transference management ability. 3) According to private self-consciousness, there were positive correlations in counter-transference management ability and all the factors in counter-transference management ability except ‘anxiety-management\'. 4) Self efficacy, private self-consciousness and educational background were influential factors on counter-transference management ability. Specifically, educational background, self efficacy and private self-consciousness were influential factors on ‘objective understanding of client\', self efficacy and private self-consciousness were influential factors on ‘self-integration\' and ‘self-insight\', and self efficacy was an influential factor on ‘anxiety-management\'.
