The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the function of family and sociopsychological maturity among adolescents of normal families and disfunctional families. A survey was conducted among 343 students in total, that is 165 students from disfunctional families and 178 students from normal families In this study, SPSS 10.0 Windows was used to analyze standard deviation, t-test, and Pearson correlation. The findings of this study indicted the followings: First, the analysis of the difference in the function of family indicated that adolescents of disfunctional families had lower function of family than adolescents of normal families. Second, the analysis of the difference in sociopsychological maturity among them indicate no statistically significant difference. Third, the comparison indicated higher sociopsychological scores among high function group than low function group which were categorized by scores based on the function of family. Fourth, normal and high function group indicated generally higher sociopsychological scores when the function of family an disfunctionality of family were combined, whereas disfunctional and high function group indicted highest scores of social adjustment.
