본 연구는 DACUM법을 사용하여 전문상담교사의 양성과 계속 교육과정을 구성하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전문상담교사의 직무와 관련된 연구 및 문헌을 분석하였고, 여러 지역의 학교 및 교육청 소속 상담센터를 방문하였으며, 전문가협의회와 자문회의를 실시하였다. 연구결과 전문상담교사 양성과정의 필수과목 7개와 선택과목 11개를 선정하고 각 교과목에서 다루는 전문상담교사의 직무요목을 구체화하였다. 전문상담교사 양성과정의 필수과목으로는 상담이론과 실제, 성격이론, 청소년문제와 상담, 집단상담, 심리검사, 진로상담, 가족상담 등이 제시되었고, 선택과목으로는 학습상담, 심리통계 및 연구방법, 청소년 발달과 상담, 이상심리학, 상담윤리와 행정, 위기상담, 실습 및 사례연구, 프로그램 개발, 대화기술, 지역자원 개발과 연계, 미술치료 등이 제시되었다. 현직 전문상담교사와 상담교육전문가를 통해 각 교과목의 중요도와 적합도를 평가하였다. 전문상담교사 계속교육과정의 필수과목으로는 고급상담실습, 수퍼비젼, 고급 상담기법, 상담행정, 리더쉽, 상담컨설팅 등이 제시되었고, 선택과목으로는 전문상담교사 양성과정의 전 과목이 제시되었다. 전문상담교사 양성과정의 발전방안과 연구의 제한점 등에 대하여 논의하였다.
This study constructed a curriculum of school counselor education and continuing education using DACUM method. We anlysed articles about job of school counselor, visited 11 school and counseling center of local education office, held 2 professional committee. As a result, 7 essential subjects and 11 optional subjects were selected, and job elements which each subject deals with were clarified. The essential subjects include 'theory and practice of counseling', 'theory of personality', 'youth problems and counseling', 'group counseling', 'psychological assessment', 'career counseling', and 'family counseling'. And optional subjects includes 'learning counseling', 'psychological statistics and research method', 'youth development and counseling', 'abnormal psychology', 'counseling ethics and administration', 'crisis counseling', 'practice and case analysis', 'program development', 'dialogue skills', 'local resources development and networking', and 'art therapy'. The level of importance and suitability were estimated by school counselors and counselor educators. ‘Advanced counseling practice', 'supervision', 'advanced counseling techniques', 'counseling admministration', 'leadership', and 'counseling consulting' were suggested as essential subjects for school counselor continuing education, and all subjects of school counselor education were suggested as optional subects for school counselor continuing education. Several suggestions for deveopment of school counselor education were made and some limitations of the study were discussed.
