This study This study analyzed the time required to conduct the NEIS academic affairs
for secondary school teachers. To perform the study, the detail works in the units of the
NEIS academic affairs were classified according to the school duties of the secondary school
teachers. And then the difference of the time required to conduct each work classified was
analyzed and calculated the annual time between middle and high school.
As a result, first, there were the differences in student life, school register, and student
record among homeroom teacher's works and in rating academic record among subject
teacher's works, and in curriculum, record, and application services among works according
to the school affairs division between middle and high school. Second, in the average hours
a week required according to the school duties, homeroom teacher's works took over 1.5
hours, subject teacher's works took over 1.1 hours. And in the average hours required
according to the school affairs division, the work of record took 7 hours in middle school
and 11.8 hours in high school, the work of curriculum took 3.1 hours in middle school
and 4 hours in high school, and a plan of academic affairs took 1.5 hours in middle school
and 1.7 hours in high school. Third, it was showed that secondary school teachers
conducted their works on the NEIS academic affairs in over 69.8% of working hours except
teaching activities.
