The achievement of task performance in a group organization is the consequence of the interaction between
personal cultural disposition of its each member and its organizational culture. Based on this general fact, this
article aims to analyze and explain the relationship between teachers’ personal cultural dispositions and school
organizational cultures in the achievement of teacher’s task performance. Basically, one of the results in this
research, which target middle and high school teachers, shows three important teacher's own perceptions.
First, teachers perceive that the existing school organizational cultures to which they belong are oriented to
maintenance culture. Second, teachers perceive that their personal cultural dispositions is oriented to
allocentrics as meaning collectivistic cultureal disposition rather than idiocentrics as meaning individualistic
cultureal disposition. Third, the teachers highly evaluate their task performance in the positive sense.
The analysis of how school organizational cultures influence teachers' task performance according to the
difference of teachers' personal cultural disposition indicates the following three results. First, the performance
of teachers with individualistic cultural disposition is higher in rationality culture as well as in maintenance
culture. Second, the teachers with highly collectivistic cultural disposition do not show the meaningful
difference in the response to the difference of organizational cultures. However, their performance is better in
the case that affiliation culture is higher. Furthermore, they shows a meaningful correlation to the factor of
human relation in maintenance culture.
In the case that the task performance of teachers is evaluated according to school organizational cultures
without considering personal cultural disposition of teachers, maintenance culture does not show any
meaningful correlation to positive task performance. However, maintenance culture shows the meaningful
difference of task performance in the interaction with personal cultural disposition.
