To fine a ideal pattern of forward rolling Knee-stretched after handstand position motion, the performances of top collegiate gymnasts were involved in the data gather process using a high speed Cinematohraphy. The following were resulted.
1)In the firtst phase, S-2, S-3 and S-4 moned the center body far with the largest extension of Shoulder joint and Hip joint from startin position of Handstand. This motion is ideal.
2) In the second phase, at the moment that the back is in contact with mat vertical velocity of S-1 moned fastly. This motion gives severe impact on the back. Therefore this motion is not very good, On the contray, S-2, S-3 and S-4 moved slowly at the velocity and the angle.
3)In the third phase, velocity of S-2, S-3 and S-4 presented more faster than velocity of S-1. The angle of S-1 had much more fraction than any other subjects. Therefore, motion of S-2, S-3 and S-4 is more ideal than motion of s-1.
4)In the last trame of fourth phase that position is completed, the angel of Hip joint of S-1 presented largely, On the contrary, the angle of Hip joint of s-2, S-3 and S-4 is forward direction and mostly 90 degree this motion is ideal.
In summary, the following were concluded. In the first phase, largerst extension of shoulder and hip joints were very important. In the second phase, the physical strength of abdomen should be large enough to prevent a gymnast from fraction of hip when the back is in contact with the mat. In the
Thirdphase, the motions of body and arms should be coincided mostly vertically. Finally, the pushing
Of the arms and the bending forward motion of the truck should be followed to complete the motion successfully.
