The purpose of the study was to test effectiveness of skill-based learning and inquiry-based learning(forsard roll, straddle, continuous straddle). Total of 398 sixth grade children were partivipated from five elementary school in Pusan.
Date were gathered from pre-questionnaire and self-ecaluation questionnaire(post-questionnaire). Data collected were condeucted by examining the significance of the Chi-square statistic.
the results of this study were as follws:
1) It is found that sixth grade chiledren were fond of physical education class mostly .
2) As for forward roll, skill improvement. a sense of positiveness and a sense of responsibility of skill-based learning revealed significantly better effectiveness than inquiry-based learning.
3)As for straddle, there was no significant difference between skill-based learning and inquiry-based learning.
4) As for continuous straddle, inquiry-based leaning revealed significantly better effectiveness than skill-based learning.
5) As for skill improvement of three skill(forward roll, straddle, continuous straddle), boys ere not reveal significant difference but girls revealed that skill-based learning was significantly better effectiveness than inquiry-based learning.
