Data were collected using questionnaires was to contribute to the development of elemenraty school physical education by investigating types and the countermeasures of injuries occurred in the educational gymnastics classes. For the purpose of attaining the purpose of this study a questionnaire research was made for elemenraty school teachers and six grade students in Kyungnam. Based on the analysis of the results the following sonclusion were drawn.
1. 39.8 percent of teachers responded that they have experenced in the educational hymnastics alcsses. Female and loger career\'s teachers had more experienced in the injuries. the ranges of injuries were occurred first vaulting horeses and followed crowbars, blance beams , but mostly happened in the vaulting horeses and crowbars. the parts of injuries were arms and legs and followed necks faces grunks and heads.
2. The cases of injuries occerred most were from vaulting horses and followed by crowbars, etc. The causes of injuries were the careless of children and teachers, insufficient facilities and the careless of others. The period of convalescence after injuries took 3 weeks and followed a week, 3 days, and two weeks. Theachers who had experenced their students\' injuries felt burdens on them.
3. Students usually lided to the educational gymnastics classess and also 57.3 percent of students have experienced injufies. The ranges of injuries were vaulting horses and crowbars, and the parts of injuries were arms and legs . The most common injuries were sprain and bruise, external trauma, dislocations, and pains and injuries of teeth.
4. the cause of injuries were careless of themselves, insufficient facilities, and teachers\' fauls. 86.4 percent was a slight wound which took 3days to a week for recovering. However 13.7 percent was severe injury which took 2 or 3 weeks for regaining. Students didn\'t feel much burden after injuries. It was different from teachers\' responds.
