The purpose of this study were to analyze the maintenance statu of physical facilities and teaching aids. Subjects for this study were 162 schools among all elemenraty schools in Pusan by random selection. Data were gathered through the questionaire method. The questionaire on physical facilities and teaching aids employed in this study is made on the base of data from the Physical Teaching Aids and Facility Criteria by the Pusan Board of Education in 1998. Analysis of this questionaire is compared and implemented by the maintenance rate(percent mark) to standard mount based on the facilities and teaching aids criteria with consideration to the number of classess per each school and students. The study on physical facilities First, in hymnastic area, it showed the high maintenance-rate in wall-bars and horizontal-bars among requirement items, and chinning ladder(monkey bar), junle gym, palground slides, ring, and spring-bars among recommendation items. Second, in game area,it showed the high maintenance-rate in volleyball equipment and table tennis among recommendation items. Third, it showed that swimming pool and it equipment items of folk and seasonal area are no maintained in thes survey. Fourth, in extra area, it showed the high maintencance-rate in straight track of requirement items and seesay of recommendation items.
