영문초록

The purpose of this thessis was to analyze the relationship between job stress and coping skills, to examine the diifferrences between levels of job stress and conping skills in terms of the teacher background variables, to identify the levels of job stress among teachers. The subjects of this thesis was selected from elementary chool teacher population in the area of dae-joen city and chung - nam province. of the 300 teachers sampled, 215 returned the questionnaires. The data collected from questionnaire designed for this thesis were consisted of reponsese to itiems constructed to represent each variable. The statistical analysis of the obtained data was performed with means, standard deviations and one-way ANOVA. This thesis method and data analysis gave the following results. 1. High perception level of job stress showed relationship with a student in all factors and used mental and psychological methods to coping the stress. 2. Individual variables: 1) In the levels of teacher stress, there were significant differences with regard to sex and age and school education category. However, there was no significant difference with regard to marital status category. 2) In the levels of comping skills, there were significant differences with regard to sex and age and school education category. However, there was no significant diference with regard to marital status category.
