The following is an experimental research about 6th grade students in elementary school over thier physical activities in the course of 「Physical Educaion 」. To found out how a child\'s \"play\" affects his or her sociality, organized, planned programs were adapted and the following questions were established.
First, What kind of influence does\" play\" activity give upon a chiold\'s development of his or her sociality?
Second , What kind of influence does\"play\" activity give upon a child\'s development of the subordinate factors of sociality ( ex. diligence, responsibility, cooperativeness,obedience to law, independence?)
Third, Upon the influence \"play\"activity give to sociality , is there a difference between gender ?
To examing the research questions given above, 80 6th grade student from \'J\" elementary -located in Taejon Metropolitan Yoo-Sung-Goo-were classified as experimental and regulation groups . A \"play\" program was adapted, and the research was progressed form September to November of 2003.
The \"play\" program was adapted to the experimental group by myself. The program was carried out for 20vlass hours(8weeks). The regulation group adapted a pregram from the past given in the teachers instruction booklet. operated by the 6th grader indicidual homeroom teachers. this program was also carried out for 6 weeks.
The experimental scheme for the present research is a pretest-post test control group design.
The independent fator Is the \"play\" activity while the subordinate factor being sociality. By using sociality examination tools, we can see that a child\'s begavior development field is estimated through the factors of diligence, responsibility,, cooperativeness, obedience to law, and independence, For the present experiment at hand, 20 programs were selected. They were carried out through the following process:Pre-examination, experimental measure, examination of the aftermath, and statistical management.
Through results based on sociality tests and 1 on 1 counseling session between heachers students, the following conclusions(s) was able to be made:
The following conclusions were made through the analysis of the result of the experiments:
First , \"play\" activities are effective in developing the sociality of elementary students.
Second, \"play\" activities are effective in developing the subordinate factors of sociality (ex. diligence, reponsibility, cooperativeness, obedience to law, and independence)
Third, Gender is not a factor in making difference of the influence given to the deelopment of sociality through \"play\" activities.
