This study aims at providing basic data for healthy life pattern of elementary school teachers. the study subject we have set in this study is in finding out the differences in health ocnsciousness, exercise habit, eating habit, mental health and drinking & smoking, and in finding out what is the righteous daily life pattern for health.
The objects of the sudy were 349 teachers of 31 elementary schools with in the B education bureau of Chungcheongnam-do , and as for the investigation method, it investigated while reorganizing the questionnaires of pre-study according to this study, and analyzed the significance difference by cross verificaion.
The study results gained through questionnaire survey and statistical dealing were as follow.
1. 88.3% of elementary school teachers were feeling the importance of health, and were thinking both their work and health importantly but the priority to health showed to be higher.
2. 94.3% of elementary school teachers are feeling exercise is needed for maintaining and improving their health, but it was shown that they are not regulary exercising now. Most of the elementary school teachers were exercising personally, and the exercise item was walking which is the aerobic exercise and next, they are partivipating in volleyball.
2. Elementary school teachers were eating regularly at usual times, and they ate fast, and 82.8% of them ate breakfast, which was higher than other jobs.
4. Most of the elementary schhol teachers had stress due to their classes, tasks and interpersonal relations with their colleagues, The way to sloce stress, they solve it for themselves, or were solving by exercise and drinking.
5. The smoking rate of elementary school teachers was 22.9% and non-smoker rate was high. The drinking rate of elementary school teachers was 62.2%, and it was similar whether they were male or female.
As above, if the elementary school teachers correct their daily life pattern and live by desirous life pattern through self-responsibility and management, they can maintain and improve their health. As for the desirous daily life patternm the most core things are adequate eating habit, appropriate exercise, control of favorite food, and maintenance of mental health.
