Today, creativity is not only major focus but also content of special education for the gifted children. This study is to find effect of creativity education program for the gifted children with creative problem solving(CPS) on developing creativity of children, and to know whether the program has an impact more on the gifted children than common children regarding development of creativity. The subject of this study consists of 20 lower graders of elementary schools located in Seoul. WISC-Ⅲ intelligence test as well as integrated creativity test and creative problem solving test by Lee Kyung-Wha(2003) are used as a research tool. The program is performed for children of the test(both the gifted children and common children) 10 times. Findings from this study are in the following. First, in creativity test children under this program have a significant difference in the areas of creativity ability (fluency, flexibility, and originality) and task-commitment compared to control group, while they show a significant difference in fluency, flexibility, and elaboration as well as the areas of sound, shape, and handling regarding creative problem solving test. Second, in creativity test children under this program show a significant difference in the areas of sound creativity compared to common children. In addition, regarding creative problem solving test. they have a significant difference in all the areas of fluency, originality, elaboration, language, sound, shape, and handling except flexibility and imagination, while in the areas of flexibility and imagination common children show greater development of creativity than the gifted children.
