학부모 심리학의 제안; 그 가능성과 의의

본 논문은 학부모에 대한 심리학적 이해와 분석의 당위성을 제안함으로써 학부모 심리학의 필요성과 가치, 학부모 심리학 연구의 지향점 및 가능성을 탐색하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 학부모 심리학은 심리학의 주요 분야에 적용되어 ‘학부모 진화심리학’, ‘학부모 개인차심리학’, ‘학부모 발달심리학’, ‘학부모 사회심리학’ 등으로 세분화하여 구성될 수 있을 것이다. 학부모 심리학 연구는 학부모 스스로의 이해를 도울 뿐만 아니라, 학부모와 관련된 교육정책자들에게 학부모의 심리와 행동양식을 이해할 수 있도록 지식을 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 이는 학부모 교육에 중요한 지침이 될 것이며, 효과적이고 현실적인, 성공적인 교육정책 결정에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

영문초록

This paper aims to propose the necessity, orientation, rationale and implications of studying psychology of parents by suggesting that the parents should be regarded as the academic subjects of psychological understanding and analysis. The psychology of parents can be applied to a major part of psychology and divided into kinds of following domains: ‘evolutionary psychology of parents’ ‘psychology of individual differences of parents’, ‘developmental psychology of parents’, ‘social psychology of parents’ and etc. Studying ‘psychology of parents’ has academic significances for researchers to understand the nature of parents and help parents understand themselves, as well as practical significances to provide educational policy-makers with knowledge about emotions, thoughts, attitudes, and behavior patterns of parents. It might also present guidelines for parents-education and help with the decision about effective, practical, successful education policy.
