The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics of the environment as perceived by professors and students. Results are as follows: 1. The characteristics of the university environment perceived by professors show orderly propriety community - scholarship - practivaility - awareness. 2. The characteristics of the university environment perveived by students show orderly propriety- practiality - scholarship - awareness - community . But generalization of the present investigation will meet some difficulties due to the fact that redults is itself quite difficult and thst the research has been focused exclisively on Pusan National University.
