One of alternatives to the problems derived from cognitive subject-centered education in school is culture and art education. Frequently, we find a hyphened word, “culture-art”. Actually, we are not familiar to discern the concept of culture and art. But in fact culture and art are quite different. Culture means a frame of recognition that men have established for organizing their life experiences. On the other hand, art means the expressing activities of emotions entailed life experiences. Science that deals with culture, and art are altogether activities elevating levels of excellency from low to high level. At these transition education operates. I named it as ‘culture education’ and ‘art education’, and examined its contents. Then I criticized present conditions of culture and art education in school on the fact that it was not followed to the intrinsic rules of education themselves. Lastly, I proposed the necessity of pedagogical discourses of the science of culture and art as subject for proper understanding of culture and art education.
