이 연구는 방법원리 교육관의 하위유형과 특성을 탐색함으로써 현대사회에 만연된 방법원리 교육관에 대한 이해를 도모하고, 그 과정에서 교육관 유형연구의 기본적인 이론틀을 형성하려는 목적을 갖고 수행되었다. 방법원리 교육관은 교육의 본질을 방법으로 규정하고, 그 방법에 들어있는 원리를 교육원리로 삼아 교육을 사고하는 유형을 지칭한다. 이 연구에서는 방법원리 교육관의 하위 유형으로 Bobbitt의 생산원리의 교육관, Skinner의 행동통제원리의 교육관, 그리고 Banathy의 체계원리의 교육관을 구성하고, 방법원리 교육관의 핵심 특성과 그 사고체계가 갖는 한계를 지적하였다. 이 연구가 교육관 또는 교육관 유형 연구를 활성화하고, 일반적으로는 교육을 이해하는 데 도움이 되기를 기대한다.
This study was undertaken to investigate the sub-types and characteristics of the view of education of method principles. By the view of education of method principles, education is defined as a method which should be efficient means to achieve aims given outside of education. Three sub-types of the view of education of method principles are identified and discussed in this study. Three sub-types of the view of education(Bobbitt`s educational view of production principles, Skinner`s educational view of behavior principles, and Banathy`s educational view of system principles) are classified according to educational principles. And in this paper I explore key characteristics and limits of the view of education of method principles based on three sub-type. The results of this study will be applied to improve studies of typologies of view of education and to understand more systematically the view of education of method principles.
