The purpose of this study was to identify knowledge and capabilities required of learning disability specialists and to suggest training programs for raising their professionalism. In this study, Delphi investigations were conducted three times to the group of experts in the field of special education who had specialty in learning disabilities or low achievement. The results of the Delphi investigations were also discussed with experts on learning disabilities who were recommended by the Korean Association of Learning Disabilities. The training programs were recommended based on the Delphi investigations and panel discussions. The programs were composed of courses of four areas: Learning, behavior, evaluation, and consulting. Discussions were followed on the implementation of the training programs and how to improve their educational quality.
