The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-report test and situational judgment test, which was developed by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET). This study was conducted among 25 students who applied for the teaching course of J university students and participated in both K-CESA interpersonal competency 1st and 2nd version tests. On the other hand, out of the 5 students who could not participate in the interview due to personal reasons, only 20 students were interviewed. The results of the study are as follows. First, there were statistically significant differences bewteen the self-report test (1st Version) and the situational judgment test (2nd Version) in the subscale of the understanding of organization. However, there was no difference in the other subscales of interpersonal relations competency. Second, there was no correlation between the subscales of self-report test and the situational judgment test. However, there was statistically a significant difference bewteen the understanding of organization of the self-report test and the emotional bond of the situational judgment test. Third, the possibility of connection between the self report test and situational judgment test was examined in terms of type (Self Report versus Situational Judgement), measurement area (Affective area versus Cognitive area), and the response criteria (Subjective self vs. Object self). The possibility of integrating two tests measuring interpersonal competence was discussed.
