본 연구의 목적은 음악대학 재학생들이〈N=195) 생각하는 학업성취에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하고, 전공살기성취도와 전제학업성취도간의 관계를 연구자가 직접 제작 한 Academic Success Inventory For Music Majors (ASIMM)를 통해 측정, 분석해 보 는 것이었다. 연구의 측정도구인 ASIMM은 교수, 동료집단, 타고난 환경, 개인성취능력, 학교 등 다섯 가지 요인을 바탕으로 총 34문항으로 구성되었으며 높은 내적일관성신뢰도가 확인되었다(a=90). 본 연구 결과, 음악전공 대학생들은 스스로의 자신감, 성취욕 구, 충분한 전공실기 연습, 시간관리 둥 ``개인성취능력`` 과 관련한 요인들을 학업성취에 가장 많은 영향을 주는 요인으로 지적하였다. 반면, 타고난 음악적 재능이나 지능0 등 ``타고난 환경``과 관련된 요인들은 상대적으로 학업성취에 영향을 적게 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 음악대학생의 전공실기성취도와 전제학업성취도를 비교한 결과, 두 변인 간 에 통계적으로 유의미한 상관관계(r=62 p<01)가 있는 것으로 나타나, 일반적으로 음 ``악 대학생들이 실기와 전체학업성취 간에 상관이 없다고 생각하는 것과는 다른 결과를 보여주었다.
The purpose of this study was to identify the perceived factors that influenced the academic success and the relationship between academic and performance achievement as music majors in Korean universities (N195). The Academic Success Inventory for Music Majors (A SIMM) was developed for investigating the academic success and the relationship between academic and performance achievement as music majors! The results of this study indicated that personal-effort factors, such as self-confidence, the motivation to be successful, and the practice of performance were perceived as the most influential factors impacting the academic success of music majors in Korean universities, while gifted factors, such as musical talents and IQ were perceived as the least influential factors, relatively. Also, the findings of this study pointed out that there was a significant correlation between the academic and performance achievement among the music majors in Korean universities (r=62: p<0l). Recommendation and conclusion were provided for music majors in Korean universities.
