The purpose of this study is to apply the spatial characteristics inherent in the street system of the city to the inside of the high-rise buildings based on the concept of the vertical street. For this purpose, the spatial characteristics of the street system and the concept of the vertical space were examined, and the characteristic of the street system of Italy Rome which is the subject of this study was replaced with the architectural planning element applying the concept of vertical space. Also, this study proposed an architectural design plan for implementing an order that is inherent in the city to the inside of the building as a vertical street. The contents of the proposal of this study are as follows. First, the concept of the public square is applied to the low-level of the building and the concept of the vertical street is applied to the tower in order to conceptually reveal the complexity and historical and cultural properties contained in the city of Rome within the architecture. Second, same as the spatial hierarchy in the urban landscape, a vertical street in the building is completed as an integrated system divided into functional zones formed by boundaries and nodes based on the circulation of the building.
