본 연구에서는 어머니의 완벽주의 및 지각된 양육행동과 중학생의 사회불안의 관계를 알아보고, 어머니의 완벽주의와 사회불안의 관계에서 지각된 양육행동의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구대상은 서울시와 의정부시에 소재하는 중학교의 1, 2, 3학년에 재학 중인 청소년과 이들의 어머니 243명이었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0과 AMOS 18.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 각 변인들의 하위요인들 간 상관관계를 파악한 후 중학생이 지각한 부정적 양육행동이 어머니의 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의 성향과 사회불안 간의 관계를 매개하는지 검증하기 위하여 구조방정식모형 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 어머니의 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의가 중학생 자녀의 사회불안에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 양육행동을 통해 간접적으로 큰 영향을 미친다는 사실을 확인함으로써 어머니의 특성이 중학생 자녀의 사회불안에 매우 중요하고 큰 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 청소년의 사회불안 문제의 예방과 가족 치료적 개입을 위한 어머니-자녀 관계에 대한 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
This study aimed to explore the relations between mothers perfectionism, middle school children s social anxiety, and the mediating effect of perceived parenting behaviors. A survey was conducted on 243 subjects from middle schools located in Seoul and Uijeongbu City and their mothers. Data were analyzed with statistical programs, SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) was applied to test if the mothers negative parenting behaviors perceived by their middle school children mediate effects on correlation between the mothers perfectionism and children s social anxiety. Consequently, the study verified that mothers perfectionism has significant influences, directly and indirectly, on their middle school children s social anxiety through perceived negative parenting behaviors. Therefore, mothers characteristics have significant effects on their middle school children s social anxiety. This study may offer useful information to the mother-adolescent child relationship in terms ofprevention of social anxiety of adolescents and remedial mediation of family members.
