교사의 전문성을 확보하고 교육의 질적 변화를 도모하기 위해서, 연구자로서의 교사 역할이 강조됨에 따라 그동안 연구자로서의 교사의 역할에 대해 많은 연구가 이루어졌다. 그러나 유아교사가 생각하는 연구자로서의 역할에 대한 인식과 수행에 대한 연구는 부족한 형편이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 현장교육 경험이 있는 4명의 대학원 학생을 참여자로 하여 유아연구에 대한 다양한 생각을 알아보았다. 자료는 심층면담과 전화면담을 통해 수집하였다. 연구 참여자의 개인적인 경험에 따라 의견이 서로 엇갈리는 경우도 있어서 각자의 입장을 보다 생생하게 전달하기 위하여 가상 토크 쇼 형식으로 면담내용을 재구성하였다. 연구결과는, ‘연구에 대한 다양한 생각,’‘필요가 전제된 연구와 그렇지 않은 연구.’‘연구는 용기가 필요한 일,’‘혼자만 잘해서는 안 되는 일, 연구,’‘연구자로서의 역할을 수행하는데 필요한 조건’등 5가지로 분류하여 기술 하였다
The role of teachers as researchers has been emphasized to raise the standard of education quality and to enlarge teachers ’ expertise. Therefore a great deal of research has been done on the role of teachers as researchers. However, research exploring teachers’ thoughts regarding ‘teachers as researchers’ is insufficient. Four graduate students who had teaching experience at kindergarten were invited in this study. This study analyzed four graduate students’ various ideas on ‘research’ and ‘teachers as researchers.’ The data were collected through in-depth interviews and telephone interviews. As participants’ opinions differed depending on the individual experiences, the interview data were reorganized into a hypothetical talk show format to convey their opinions vividly. The results of this study can be summarized as following five topics; “Different point of views regarding ‘research’”, “Research should be based on teachers’ needs”, “Doing research needs courage”, “Research friendly environment should be provided”, “Conditions that are needed to perform researcher’s role.”
