본 연구는 남한주민의 북한이탈주민에 대한 수용성과 친밀감이 연도별로 어떻게 변화하고 있는지를 분석하고, 인구ㆍ사회학적 요인뿐 아니라 개인적 신념까지를 포함하여 영향 요인을 총체적으로 검증하는 데 목적을 두었다. 북한을 경계 및 적대의 대상이라고 생각하는 것보다 지원 및 협력대상이라고 생각하는 것이 북한이탈주민에 대한 친밀감과 수용성을 높인다는 연구 결과는 한민족으로서 북한이탈주민을 이해하고 범주화하는 경우 민족정체성이나 민족적 자금심의 향상과 북한이탈주민에 대한 친밀감이 정적 상관관계가 있을 수 있음을 보여주는 것이라 할 수 있다. 그리고 여성보다 남성이 북한이탈주민에 대한 수용성과 친밀감이 높다는 분석 결과는 선행연구들과 유사한 결과이며, ‘현실경쟁이론’이 북한이탈주민에 대한 태도를 설명하는 데 적합함을 보여주는 결과라 할 수 있다. 또한 한국경제에 대한 만족도가 높고 현 정권의 국정운영에 대해 긍정적으로 평가할수록 북한이탈주민에 대한 친밀감이 높아진다는 연구 결과는 ‘사회적 위협 인식’이 북한이탈주민에 대한 부정적 태도를 강화한다는 선행연구의 결과를 지지한다. 다만, 북한이탈주민의 수용성과 친밀감이 2011년 대비 지속적으로 낮아지고 있다는 것은 남한사회 전반의 불안요소가 증가하고 있고 위협으로 인식될 수준이라는 것을 반증하는 것이라고 볼 수 있다.
This paper analyzes how changes the South Korean’s magnanimity and closeness of North Korean refugees by over time, and overall analyses what the factors influencing it included both socio-demographic characteristics and personal conviction, based on the 2014 Survey on National Identity in South Korea. Because South Korean have attitude of North Korea as positive than as negative more high magnanimity and closeness of North Korean refugees, must be educated to accept North Korean refugees of the Korean people. Analysis result of Man than woman more high magnanimity and closeness of North Korean refugees same preceding research’ results, it saw ‘Realistic Conflict Theory’is possibly the theory to describe attitude of North Korean refugees. Also, Analysis result of the higher satisfaction about Korean economy and governing style current regime more high magnanimity and closeness of North Korean refugees same preceding research’ results, it saw ‘social perceived threat theory’ is possibly the theory to describe attitude of North Korean refugees.
