Urban scape is directly connected to nation or competitiveness. Advanced countries have arranged policies to emphasize distinct characteristics of cities and differentiate them from others since the late 1980s. Korea introduced the landscape rating system by revising the Scenic Conservation Act in 2014. However, there are unreasonable problems or cases that the standards are not clear in partial procedures as operating the reviews because the landscape review seems to be at the early stage. The coverage of the study has boundary was up to the landscape ordinance of 31 self-governing units in Gygeonggi Province as of December 2017. This study was conscious of the ongoing condition of the landscape review focusing on buildings as subjects of the review through the analysis on the landscape ordinance of each local government and tried to suggest the improvement plan about the coverage of landscape review of buildings. The analytical results have found that buildings, the objects of the landscape review were not designated, ordinances has no coincidence with related administrative systems or the review was not carried out. Furthermore, the revision of the ordinance seemed to be done passively. Coincidence with other administration is important issue as revising the ordinance in the future. For example, buildings in landscape zone could be managed by determining zones when setting urban or Gun management plan up, or subject of architectural review could be brushed by landscape review as well in order to make the architectural review and the landscape review coherent. Moreover, system need to be reorganized to scrutinize school facilities and buildings on boulevard are supposed to be additionally included in the coverage of landscape review as considering vista view.
