The purpose of this research was to identify the perceived stress, happiness, and the degree of stress coping and related factors of college students in health department, to investigate the effects of perceived stress on happiness, and to research the mediating effect of stress coping on perceived stress and happiness. The subjects were 288 college students in four health care colleges in J-Do and G-City. The collected data were analyzed by multiple regression analysis method and 3-step regression analysis method using SPSS statistical program. The data analys revealed that the lower the perceived stress, the higher the happiness, and the lower the perceived stress, the higher the coping with stress. The data analysis results about the mediating effects of stress coping on the perceived stress of college students in the health department showed that the stress coping had an indirect mediating effect in the relationship between perceived stress and happiness. These research results indicated that there is a need to pay more attention to stress coping when mediating students of college of health department, and also indicated the need to keep eye on improving happiness by developing and applying various stress coping strategies to the students of college of health department.
