스마트폰이 보편화 되면서 사용자 인증 기술 또한 다각적인 방향으로 발전하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존에 제안되었던 사용자 인증 기법과 최근 사회공학 공격의 여러 유형에 따른 보안 기법과 안전성에 대해 분석하며, 기존의 인증 방법들에 비해 시각적 편의성 및 보다 나은 안전성을 제공하는 사용자 인증 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 기존의 이미지 기반 인증 기법의 얼굴 이미지의 조합을 패스워드로 사용하는 단순한 인증 방법에서 문제될 수 있는 사회 공학 공격에 대한 취약성을 보완하기 위해 사용자 인증시 사용되는 얼굴 이미지의 2차원 평면에 도시되는 부분을 3차원 입체 화면구성을 통해 다면체의 각 면에 얼굴 이미지가 도시되도록 하였다. 그리고 기존의 방법은 선택된 이미지를 클릭 또는 터치를 하여 선택하였으나 제안 기법은 3차원 이미지 배경을 통해서 다면체에 표시된 각 이미지의 방향 좌표도 패스워드 요소로 포함하여 사회공학 공격중 어깨너머 공격과 레코딩 공격에 보다 강인하고 안전하게 인증한다.
