This study, we tried to understand the current state of language rehabilitation in the elderly by examining the perception of the SLP(Speech Language Pathologists) about the language problems related to the geriatric diseases and the language problems in the aging process without any pathological problems.\nFor this purpose, 121 SLP were surveyed about perception, experience, and education about language rehabilitation in the elderly. The results were as follows; First, 66% of SLP were aware of geriatric speech-language rehabilitation, and most of them said that geriatric language rehabilitation is essential. Second, the elderly who were most likely to suffer neurological language damage (66.9%) were the subjects of the geriatric language rehabilitation recognized by SLP. Third, 73.3% of the respondents said that the academic preparation for the elderly language rehabilitation is low. As a result of this study, SLP recognized that it is necessary to improve expressiveness and understanding ability for quality of life and communication of the elderly, but it was found that there is not much education and experience in the treatment of actual geriatric language rehabilitation.
