This study aims to examine current status and recognition of Picture Book reading-aloud activities and seek its improvement methods. The subjects of this study were kindergarten teachers and child-care center teachers in G city and questionnaire was used. Total 300 questionnaires were distributed and 258 collected were used for analysis. Responses were collected and frequency, percentage, average and standard deviation were calculated with SPSS 12.0 program. χ2 test was used to examine whether there is a difference in response depending on variables of constituents.
First, according to execution of Picture Book reading-aloud activity for children, there were statistically significant differences in type of agency, teachers\' career, age and children\'s age. Second, what was most difficult in Picture Book reading-aloud activity was gap of developmental levels among children and development of programs and teaching materials and instruments for various and concrete teaching method and understanding contents are required. Therefore, this study will provide significant basic materials for preference of Picture Book reading-aloud and the whole variables.
