This study is to provide fundamental materials that early childhood teachers are able to establish proper understanding and educational belief of several programs and approaches which are used together in early childhood education fields of Korea, as recognizing their actual conditions. For this study, the questionnaire for teacher was composed in accordance with research purpose and then distributed to the study subject, 342 randomly sampled teachers who worked at kindergartens and childcare centers in Busan and Kyongsangnamdo. 280(81.87%) responds among them were collected and analyzed. The data was statistically analyzed, using frequency analysis, χ2 test, descriptive statistics, and correlation analysis of SPSS 12.0 for Windows. The results of this study were as follows. First, child-centered
program(57.50%) was most likely to be performed in early childhood institutions. Second, examining programs and approaches by institution type, both kindergartens(55.68%) and childcare centers(60.58%) showed statistically significant difference. Third, according to actual conditions of teacher training, ones who took training above one time past a year(56.43%) were more than ones who didn\'t(39.64%) and it showed that Waldorf program averaged the highest.
