이 글은 여성의 살아온 이야기에 나타난 파격의 상상력을 서사의 기능, 화자의 인식, 그 리고 설화적 상상력과의 관계라는 측면을 통해 검토한 것이다. 대개의 살아온 이야기에는 파격적 삶의 단면이라는 낯선 형상이 존재하는데 이것은 살아온 이야기의 핵심사연으로 기 능하며 이야기에 서사적 안정성을 부여한다. 그 가운데는 특별한 파격도 존재하는데, 이것 은 통념을 깨트리는 놀라운 삶의 양상으로 사실적 상상의 경계와 극한에서 이야기로의 흥 미와 관심을 강화시킨다. 이러한 삶의 파격적 단면을 이야기로 드러내는 것은 존재의 확인 이자, 현재에서 의미를 발견하려는 긍정적 인식이다. 이처럼 드러내어 말하기에 담긴 화자 의 인식은 삶과 세계를 향한 열린 인식의 지평이라는 구비철학의 본령과 닿아있다. 뿐만 아 니라 살아온 이야기는 설화적 상상력과 화소의 재현·구조의 모방이라는 관계를 형성하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
The subject of this study is exceptional imagination in the women’s life stories. The goal of this thesis is to investigate life’s exceptional aspects which are found in the women’s life stories. The first, the narrative function is dealt in this study. Life’s exceptional aspects are existed in most of the life stories, and these aspects bring narrative stability to the stories. The exception of the exception is existed among these aspects, and this can be very interested and concerned topic as the stories. The second, recognition of a speaker is dealt in this study. It is based on recognition, which is discovery of the existence, to appeared life’s exceptional aspects through the stories. This is the boundary of recognition opened to own life and world, and is connected with the origin of oral philosophy. The third, relation with imagination of a tale is dealt in this study. Life’s exceptional aspects which are appeared by the women’s life stories are connected with imagination of a tale. The life stories and the tales constitute the interaction between imitation of a structure and reproduction of a motif.
