This study was done to make the English language learning for students with visual impairment successful by minimizing the degree of anxiety. To achieve the goal, in the research, students with visual impairment attending twelve middle schools and high schools throughout the nation except Jeju Island were surveyed and analyzed on their anxiety level of English class, English teachers, and English test, divided into the categories of their school, their gender, the degree of their visual acuity and their developmental period of visual impairment. To summarize the results of the investigation is as follows.
For one thing, the anxiety level between middle school students and high school students with visual impairment shows little or no difference. Also, for the anxiety standard of students with visual impairment by the degree of visual acuity, totally-blind students and those with low vision suggest little or no gap.
For the anxiety standard of students with visual impairment by gender, however, females indicate higher anxiety level than males do. In the case of the anxiety standard of students with visual impairment by developmental period of visual impairment, students with acquired, visual impairment reveal higher anxiety level than those with inherent, visual impairment, too.
