장애인 등에 대한 특수교육법을 비롯하여 다수의 장애관련법의 제정과 실행으로 장애 대학생을 위한 질적인 교육이 주목받고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 장애학생의 학습권 보장을 위한 실천적 노력에 대한 요구가 높다. 본 연구는 현재 대학에 다니고 있는 시각장애 학생의 학업지원과 관계하여 그들의 경험을 이해하고 구체적인 지원방안을 알아보고자 시각장애 대학생을 대상으로 그룹면담과 개별면담을 실시하였다. 연구 참여자는 시각장애를 주장애로 하여 지체장애를 수반하고 있는 2명의 학생을 포함하여 8명이었다. 개별면담과 그룹면담을 통한 자료는 질적 분석되었다. 질적 분석한 결과는 (1) 학업지원 경험: 끝없는 시도와 포기 (2) 학업지원 요구: 인식과 기회의 보장 (3) 학업지원 서비스 대주제 3개와 8개의 하위주제로 도출되었다. 논의와 결론에서는 시각장애 대학생의 학습권 보장을 위한 실제적 지원의 방향을 제시하였고 학습지원체계와 관련된 후속연구를 제언하였다.
The qualitative education of individuals with disabilities have been attracted by the enactment and implement of special education acts and related disabilities act. Nevertheless, students with disability demand the maintain of improved learning right. The study was conducted to investigate the practical support methods of students with visual impairment who register university. For the purpose, the individual and group interviews of the students with visual impairment were carried out. The participants were six students with only visual impairment and two students with multiple disorder (visual and physical disorder). The raw data of individual and group interview were analyzed by qualitative method. The results of qualitative analysis were 1) the experience of learning support: endless trail and abandonment, 2) the demand of learning support: perception and the maintain of opportunity, and 3) the service of learning support. The results was presented by three themes and eight sub-theme. The practical supports of maintaining the learning right of students with visual impairment were presented in results and discussion. The system of learning support and related follow-up study are suggested. Key words : college students with visual impairment, learning-support systems, qualitative research
