The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a creative dance
program using cooperate learning on the four sub-factors of emotional quotients.
The experiment was done by 59 third grade students at D elementary school in
Namdong-gu, Incheon from September to October 2008. The creative dance
classes were applied 40 minutes at a time, two times a week, total 12 times for 6
weeks. The data were analyzed through SPSS, the results from significance level
p<.05 of this study were as follows. There were significant differences between
the experimental group and the cooperative group in emotion express, empathy,
emotion control except emotion recognition of sub-factors of emotional quotients.
Thus, the creative dance program by cooperative learning applied on the
experimental group has positive influences on improvement of emotional quotients.
