본 연구는 양육에 어려움을 겪어 왔던 어린 장애아동이면서 ADHD 증상까지 호소하는 자녀를 그 룹홈에 입소시킨 부모들에 대한 심층면접으로서, 아동들을 그룹홈에 입소시키기 전 양육스트레스와 입소이후 양육효능감에 대한 경험을 살펴본 것이다. 면접 결과 아동이 가족관계에 미치는 영향중에서 사춘기형제의 갈등과 부부갈등이 심각하였으며, 아동의 교육환경은 특수학교에 다니는 것에 만족하였 고, 그룹홈이 주양육자의 부담을 덜어주어 정상정인 경제활동을 시작함으로서 오는 만족감이 나타났 고, 퇴소 연령에 도달한 아동의 지원방안으로 장애청소년 그룹홈 설치가 절실하였다.
This study is conducted to examine parents’ parenting stress before sending children to group homes and parenting efficacy after sending them through in-depth interviews with parents who sent young children with disabilities and ADHD to group homes. The interview results showed among factors of children on family relationship, conflicts between adolescent siblings and between parents were serious. In terms of children’s education environment, the parents satisfied special schools and they also satisfied with group homes reducing major fosters’ burden so that they can start regular economy activities. As a support method for the discharged from group homes, group homes for adolescents with disabilities are urgently required.
