The purpose of this research is to make the habitually and emotionally abused child have confidence and harmonious relationship. She is emotionally suppressed and so always shows extreme alert on the people. By doing many art activities, she can get rid of the suppressed emotion and express her thought and feeling frankly. Research projects are as follows; first, What are the effects of art therapy on self-disclosure of abused child? second, What are the effects of art therapy on relationship of the abused child? The target of this research was six year old abused girl. The program of this art therapy was practised 60 minutes a week, 35 times total, from 2002-4-4 to 2003-2-19. The checking tool of this research was the internal problem measure, which is the sub-measure of the children and juveniles' K-CBCL. I checked the change of emotion and behaviour of the child by this measure. I used the PSCD examinations to check the psychological change of the child and parents, and child's relationship. Summary of this research results is as follows; First; Art therapy is effective to promote the self-disclosure of the physically abused child. This conclusion is proved by the changed pictures of self-disclosure behaviour and verbal-expression, and self disclosure during the session of progress. Through various art activities, she found the ego by purifying her own emotion. She is able to express her suppressed emotion and thought in details, and her self-disclosure and self expression behaviour changed to the affirmative side. Second; Art therapy is effective to improve relationship of the physically abused child. Through the achievement of the art activities, she had confidence in everything, and established the affirmative self ego. Thus, negative emotion about the family changed into affirmative one. She made friends with of an age, and enjoyed happy and stable life. Judging from the results of this research, various art activities are very effective in improving the self-disclosure and relationship of the physically abused child who has suppressed emotion ,and who shows extreme alert on the people. On the basement of this research conclusion, I'd like to suggest some ideas as follows to help the succeeding researchers; First; This research was based only one person, so there was a limitation in generalizing the results of the research. In the next research, we must secure some similar subjects, and the research on the same theme must be repeated. Second; This research was targeted the abused child, but there is a difference of behavior characteristics according to the types such as emotional suppress, sexual abuse, and negligence, etc. If we develop the programs appropriate to the targeted subjects, and apply them differently, I expect we can have useful data.
