\"이 글의 목적은 시집살이 이야기가 가지는 가족사적 서사로서의 성격과 의미를 밝히는데 있다. 현대의 구술문화에서 여성화자들에게 가장 일반화된 텍스트가 시집살이 이야기이다. 이들 이야기는 경험의 단편을 일회적으로 구술하는 것이 아니라 살아오는 동안 극적으로 작용하거나 기억되는 이야기를 에피소드 형식으로 갈무리하여 레퍼토리화 해 둔 것으로, 이를 주변 사람들에게 반복적으로 구연하는 방식을 취한다. 이러한 경향성은 시집살이 이야기가 비록 사실에 입각하고 있지만 구술문화의 주요 텍스트로서 지위를 확보하는 지점이라 하겠다. 이 글에서 다룬 제보자 박정애의 경우는 한국 근대적 가족사에서 일어날 수 있는 극한적인 시집살이를 포괄적으로 체험한 사례라 주목을 요한다. 몰락 양반의 전형으로서 며느리에게 희생을 강요하면서 억압을 가한 시부모, 세 딸을 두고 집을 나간 남편의 전처와 그에게 미련을 못 버린 남편, 아들의 죽음으로 딸집에 의탁하면서 시어머니의 괄시를 받은 친 정어머니, 그리고 남편 전실의 세 딸과 친자식 오남매에 대한 수많은 에피소드들이 생애담을 구성하고 있다. 제보자는 이들 에피소드를 레퍼토리화 하여 자식들에게나 주변 사람들에게 종종 들려주기도 하면서 서사를 보충하기도 하고 자신의 삶에 대한 구술 자서전으로 완성을 해 나가고 있었다. 그 서사의 특징은 근대적 가족사 소설의 소재를 포괄하고 있으며, 19세기 이후 고소설에서 자주 발견되는 주체적인 여성상의 전형적인 구조를 띠고 있다는 특징이 있다. 이러한 서사적 특징은 제보자가 일생을 살면서 스스로 서사를 구성하는 가운데 문학적 장치로 형상화한 것이라고 파악할 수 있다. 이를 통해 보더라도 사실에 입각한 시집살이 이야기는 현대의 구술문학으로서의 위상을 충분히 확고하고 있다고 진단할 수 있다.\"
"The purpose of this paper is to clarify the structures and nature of women's personal narratives about married life as family historical narrative. In oral culture of the modern, to female speaker, the most generalized text is women's personal narratives about married life. While living, these stories are not doing one-time oral fragments of experience but making repertory to be based on dramatic work or remembered story in the form of episodes, to the people around them take on the way oral repeatedly. These tendencies, although women's personal narratives about married life is based on facts, could say a point of occupied the position as the main text of an oral culture. The case of whistleblowers Bark Jeong-Ae discussed in this story requires attention as the case of comprehensive experience of extreme women's personal narratives about married life that can occur in modern family history of korea. As typical of the fallen nobleman, the parents in law made a force of repression, demanded the sacrifice to daughter in law. the husband's ex-wife went out home leaving three daughters and the husband still loved her. the mother being despised to mother in law relying daughter's house as son's death. and many episodes about husband's ex-wife's three daughters and own children, five siblings are composed of life stories. While whistleblowers often tell her own children or people around her she made repertory with these episodes, may supplement the narrative and as oral autobiography about her life it was taking to complete. The narrative features does not lag behind in the structure of family history of the modern novel. also it has characters that has structure of female hero's stories are often found in classic novel. These narrative features can identify acted elements as a literary device, whistleblowers have lived her whole life as the narrative configuration themselves. If you see through it, we can diagnose that women's personal narratives about married life based on the fact have enough phase as modern oral literature.
