The purpose of this study is to know about how group art therapy affect self esteem improvement of
the hemophilia child. The research subjects are three of hemophilia male child belonging to hemophilia
foundation in the city of G. The entire program of group art therapy consists of total 16 sessions including
pre-work and after-work, once a week with each session lasting for 60 minutes from the 12th of March
2010 till 2nd of July 2010. Research tools are Self-Esteem-Inventory(SEI) and Kinetic House-Tree-Person
(K-HTP). The subjects were evaluated before the therapy as well as after the therapy. Analysis of data by
pre and post the results of SEI total scores and sub-region scores were compared. And, pre and post
picture of change were compared by doing Kinetic House-Tree-Person(K-HTP) and finding out of the
structural analysis and contents analysis. The results of the study are as follows. First, Group Art Therapy
shows some effectiveness in self esteem improvement of the hemophilia child. Comparison of pre and post
test questionnaires, children improves the total scores and sub-regions scores. That is, self esteem of the
hemophilia child increase by group art therapy. Second, Kinetic House-Tree-Person(K-HTP) test show effect
about self esteem improvement. In conclusion, the study shows that Group art therapy has positive effects
in self esteem improvement of the hemophilia child.
