본 연구의 목적은 청소년 흡연행동에 영향을 미치는 주요한 환경변수인 가족요인과 친구요인의 상대적 영향력을 살펴보고자 하는 것이다. 본연구의 조사대상은 부산지역에 거주하는 543명의 중고교생이다. 연구결과는 여학생보다 남학생의 흡연행동이 더 높았고, 중학교가 인문고 보다, 전문고가 중학교에 비해 흡연행동이 높았고, 흡연친구가 많을수록, 부모가 흡연을 많이 할수록 청소년의 흡연행동이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 청소년의 흡연행동은 부모요인보다 친구요인이 더 큰 영향력을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 청소년 흡연행동의 효과적인 중재방안 마련을 위해서는 남학생이나 전문고 등에 대하여 각 집단의 특성에 맞는 맞춤식 개입이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 청소년의 흡연행동에 더 큰 영향력을 미치는 친구요인에 대한 개입을 위해 학교 및 지역사회의 자원의 활용이 우선적으로 고려되어야 하며, 부모의 흡연행동이 청소년 흡연에 미치는 부정적 영향에 대한 정보제공 및 사회적 홍보활동 전략이 강구되어야 할 것이다. 이러한 조사결과는 효과적인 청소년 흡연행동의 예방 및 중재를 위한 사회복지 실천적 접근의 기초자료를 제공한다는데 연구의 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.
This study aimed to define family and friend factors affecting youth smoking behavior. For the purpose the aim this study surveyed 543 high school students in Busan areas. The scales of Child\'s Attitude Toward Parent (CATP), Parent-Adolescent Communication Inventory(PACI) were applied. The results showed that smoking rate in the girl was higher than boy. Middle school students were more smoking than general high school student and vocational high school student were more smoking than middle school students. Friend smoking was key factor indicating the probability of youth smoking. It was interesting that the more parents were smoking, the more adolescent were prone to smoke. These results showed that intervention to youth smoker was considered their characteristics, gender, type of school, family factors. Friend factors most affecting youth smoking should be considered in intervention as priority thing. The result of this study had many implication on the intervention strategy of youth smoking. Finally the limitations and implications of the study were discussed.
