이 연구는 경도 지적장애 여고생의 성 비행경험은 어떠한가에 대한 탐색을 목적으로, 그들의 성 비행 경험이 가지는 복합적 과정에 대한 맥락적 이해를 하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 성 비행 경험이 있는 2명의 경도 지적장애 여고생을 대상으로 심층면담을 하였으며, 연구결과의 분석을 위 하여 Colaizzi(1978)의 분석방법을 적용하였다. 자료 분석의 결과, ‘표류하는 아이들’, ‘아웃사이더-버텨내는 삶’, ‘삶의 수단으로서의 성’ 등 3개 의 중심의미가 도출되었다. 연구 결과, 경도 지적장애 여고생들의 성 비행은 개인과 가정을 포함한 복합적인 사회적 관계들과의 교차 속에서 생성되어 왔음을 알 수 있었다. 연구 참여자들에게 있어 서 비행의 단초가 되었던 것은 가정의 구조적 결함으로 인한 가족 구성원들 간의 소통 부재에서 오는 결핍감과 상실감으로 드러났다. 장애학생의 성 비행에 대하여, 표면현상인 ‘문제행동’의 관점 에서의 인식도 중요하지만, 행위의 원인에 대한 맥락적 이해 또한 필요하다. 경도 지적장애학생들 의 성 비행에 대하여, 가정과 학교, 사회의 총체적 접근이 필요하며, 다각적이고 통합적인 해결책 또한 필요하다. 특히 성교육을 실시함에 있어서 그들의 특별한 교육적 요구나 필요성이 고려되어 져야 함은 물론, 인격체로서 자신의 성적가치의 중요성과 자신의 성적행동에 대한 책임감의 중요 성을 인식할 수 있도록 하는 교육이 필요하다.
The goal of this research is to understand the contextual complexity of sexual delinquency of secondary school girls with mild mental retardation. The author conducted in-depth interviews with two secondary high school girls with mild mental retardation who had a history of sexual delinquency. The data was analyzed by Colaizzi(1978) method. Three central significances were induced through the data analysis; "the drafting children", "outsiders-enduring life", and " sex, means of living". Their sexual delinquencies were formed from the complicated social interconnections including the individuals and families. The motivation to sexual delinquency was the feeling of incompetence or of loss which resulted from the lack of communication among the family members due to the structural abnormality of the family. The contextual understanding of the motivation of sexual delinquency is necessary in addition to the simple recognition of "problematic behavior". For the educational approach to sexual delinquency, the collaboration is necessary among the family, the school and the society. Multidimensional and integrated approach is also important. In conducting sex education, the special pedagogical needs to be considered. The girls with mild mental retardation must be educated to recognize the value of their own body and the responsibility of the sexual behaviors.
