Taiwan\'s national organization for veterans is the Veterans Affairs Commission(VAC), assigned with responsibilities to assist in education assistance, employment assistance, medical care, home care and other general services. VAC’s services are based on the “ROC Veterans Assistance Act”, which was signed into effect by the president, and therein came the “Enforcement Rules of The ROC Veterans Assistance Act”, “Regulations on Employment Arrangement of Veterans”, “Regulations on Medical Care for Veterans”, “Regulations on Home-care Arrangement of Veterans”, “Implementation Regulations on Veterans Education Assistance”, and other operational and administrative regulations. VAC\'s main goal is to realize the political ideal of the Taiwan government to repay Taiwan\'s veterans for their contributions to the country, and to maintain strong armed forces, to keep Taiwan society stable, to contribute to the economic development of the Taiwan and to upgrade their nation\'s diplomacy. In addition to continuing their improvement of medical and home care for Taiwan veterans, VAC is also designing specific programs regarding employment and educational assistance to cater to the needs of newly retired veterans. VAC assists veterans and their dependents with employment opportunities so as to enable them with a stable family life on the one hand, and help with the economy and safety of the country on the other. The main purpose of educational assistance is to assist aspiring veterans to take further studies to improve their manpower quality, strengthen their competitive conditions, and enrich national human resources. Some implications from the veterans policy of Taiwan to the veterans policy of Korea are as above, VAC\'s position and role is more higher, medical delivery system is more efficient, employ arrangement and education system is well-found than those of Korea\'s.
