시각장애 교사와 학급 담임 교사간에 직무상 협력이 어떤 형태로 이루어지는지를 알아보기 위하여 대면 면접, 질문지 응답 등을 사용하여 사례 연구를 진행하였다. 각각 3명의 시각장애교사와 학급 담임 교사가 참여한 본 연구에서, 참여자들은 학급내의 시각장애 학생에게 서비스를 제공하고 있었다. 연구결과, 참여자 모두 협력교수의 중요성은 인식하고 있었으나, 실제적으로 이를 수행하는 데에는 두 집단간에 차이가 있었음이 밝혀졌다. 협력의 주된 분야는 교제도구 제작이나 의사소통에 제안되어 있었으며 이외에 협력 학습, 검사, 진단 지원 등의 분야에로의 확대는 보고되지 않았다.
The authors conducted a study to find out the types of collaboration and the extent to which collaborations are implemented between classroom teachers and teachers of students with visual impairments (TVIs), using face to face interviews with guided questions. In the study, three pairs of classroom teachers and TVIs were interviewed. Participants were working together at the time when the study was conducted. The result indicated that teachers of students with visual impairments understood the importance of collaboration. While various modes of communication were utilized, the form of collaboration was limited to material adaptations and curricula provisions. Lack of training along with inadequate resources for collaboration was also discussed.
