사회복지옹호실천의 목적은 임파워먼트를 강화하는데 있다. 본 연구는 한국의 사회복지사들의 옹호실천특성을 파악해보고, 더불어 옹호실천특성이 사회복지사의 임파워먼트에 미치는 영향을 이해하는데 있다. 이를 위해 옹호실천특성의 옹호자질, 옹호태도, 옹호지식, 옹호기술, 옹호행동, 옹호활동 영역과 임파워먼트의 하위영역인 의미성, 유능성, 자기결정, 영향력간의 관계를 살펴보았다. 일반특성을 통제한 결과, 태도와 행동만이 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 임파워먼트를 하위 영역별로 살펴볼 때, 의미성 영역에서는 활동 외에 태도가, 유능성은 활동만, 자기결정 영역은 활동 외에 행동이, 영향력에 있어서는 활동 이외에 태도가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 사회복지옹호실천에서 옹호실천을 바라보는 태도와 직접적인 활동이 중요하다는 것을 의미한다.
The goal of social work advocacy practice is to strengthen the empowerment. The research which sees joins in tries to grasp the characteristics of advocacy of the social welfare organizations of korea, and the characteristics of advocacy is to understand the effect on the empowerment of social workers. To respect this, characteristics of advocacy of the advocacy of attribute, advocacy of attitude, advocacy of knowledge, advocacy of skill, advocacy of action, advocacy of activity boundary and the empowerment of the subordinate territory meaningfulness, competence, self-determination, impact examined the relationship in between. The result which controls a general quality, with attitude affected only the action considers. These results, rather than the personal characteristics of advocacy practice in observing the importance of advocacy and direct action, attitude must be based on means.
