The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of molding-centered group art therapy on stress reduction of children of single parent family.
Five children of single parent family in the third and fourth grade of elementary schools living in N city were selected. a daily stress test and PITR test were applied as quantitative methodology. After both tests were taken for pre and post groups, their results were compared and analyzed.
In addition, in order to complement the limitations of characteristics and study of group art therapy, an observation notebook was used, evaluated and analyzed for behavior observations and details of recordings on a session basis.
The study results for effects of molding-centered group art therapy on stress reduction of children of single parent family were as follows. Molding-centered group art therapy had positive effects on stress reduction of single parent family, and the study showed that more focus should be taken on in which environment or experiences they grow should be taken,
rather than on a negative evaluation that they would go through heavy stress.
