This thesis has analyzed the conditions of education being performed at the Woodblock Prints Museum, comprehended the characteristics of woodblock printing collections and utilized them to present the methods for extending the museum education as a study on details and methods of woodblock printing museum education while the plans for extending the museum education of woodblock printing are as follows. First, the museum education starts from collecting the relics having educational values and the museum can naturally utilize the ethnic identity to find one's own root as a scene of education by collecting the cultural assets that are getting disappeared. Second, the woodblock printing which the foundation of knowledge communication method called printing culture can be utilized for religious or ethical education using illustrations of books because it contains the inborn educational usability. Third, because the deliberate omission of original painting and designing must take place to engrave woodblock prints, it can be utilized as creative education. Fourth, an educational significance for the public is contained in the folk story woodblock printing and can be used for fine art education of purifying people's disposition through artistic printing. Fifth, there is a possibility of practicing the living art which is able to materialize beauty within people's lives utilizing pattern woodblock printing (Neunghwapan or Sijeonjipan, etc). Sixth, the cases of cultural communication between China, Korea and Japan could be discovered through the analysis of woodblock printing material by country, age and genre. As the culture ceaseless gets mixed up through the materials that are proof of such cultural communication, it can be utilized for newly changing and spreading multicultural education.
